Around 1,000 care staff are poised to transfer from Staffordshire CC to the NHS – a move that will create the largest combined social care and heath trust in the country.

The new partnership between Staffordshire CC and the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Partnership Trust is expected to be confirmed by the Department of Health this week.
