Council strike ballot results loom

Results of strike ballots involving main local government unions due this week - as trade unions gear up for 10 July mass walkout

The results of strike ballots involving hundreds of thousands of local government staff will be known this week - as trade unions gear up for a day of mass protests on 10 July.

Other major unions representing council workers will announce their ballot results over the course of the week.
