The Welsh Government has ruled out using council tax to help plug the devolved nation’s social care funding gap.

Social services minister Rebecca Evans said increasing council tax was ‘not an approach we're taking' despite Whitehall allowing local authorities in England to increase bills by using the social care precept by a total of 6% over the next two years.
