Council tax relief extended to flood victims

DCLG waives council tax charges for all people afflicted by this winter’s floods until they are able to return to their homes.

The Government has waived council tax charges for all people afflicted by this winter's floods until they are able to return to their homes.

This marks an extension of February's announcement, when the DCLG set aside £4m to fund a three-month council tax discount for all of the estimated 1,400 affected households.
