Councillors in Sandwell have backed plans to make hero marathon charity runner 'Blind' Dave Heeley the borough's next honorary freeman.

They approved the proposal at the recent full Sandwell Council meeting. Mr Heeley will be Sandwell's 11th honorary freeman. The official ceremony is likely to take place in March.
