Councils face 1,900 cases after Kids Company closure

Councils have received almost 2,000 cases from Kids Company since the charity’s closure in August, an investigation has revealed.

Councils have received almost 2,000 cases from Kids Company since the charity's closure in August, an investigation has revealed.

The National Audit Office (NAO) also found local authorities had provided grants of at least £2m to the charity, which was dogged with allegations of financial mismanagement before the departure of its chief Camila Batmanghelidjh earlier this year.
