Councils to get more cash to help refugees

The Government has confirmed additional funding is on the way to help local authorities house and support refugees.

A letter from the Home Office to the Local Government Association's deputy chairman and chair of the asylum, migration and refugee taskforce, Cllr David Simmonds, promised councils will receive more funding as they look to support the 20,000 refugees coming to the UK.
