Councils sent bailiffs to 310 company premises a day last year due to business rate-related arrears, a new study has suggested.

Data collected by property consultancy Altus under the Freedom of Information Act suggests England's councils sent bailiffs to more than 69,000 companies struggling with their business rates in the year to March 2019 – one in sixteen of every business.
