Members of the Liverpool City Region combined authority are at loggerheads over whether they should have an elected mayor.

Mayor of Liverpool Joe Anderson claimed it was ‘questionable' whether devolution talks between the region's political leaders and ministers would go ahead after Knowsley MBC voted against ‘another tier of elected government'.
