More than 35 councils have called for the Government's controversial new 'bedroom tax' to be scrapped, following a summit in Manchester.

More than 35 councils have called for the Government's controversial new ‘bedroom tax' to be scrapped, following a summit in Manchester.

The event on 7 June was organised by Manchester City Council and saw representatives from 36 different local authorities to discuss how the new tax was impacting residents.
