Councils have a pivotal role to play in promoting economic growth, according to an imminent report by the New Local Government Network think-tank.

The Future of local economic growth, due to be published on 16 April, highlights the role and importance of councils in promoting local and regional economic growth, following the abolition of the regional development agencies (RDAs).
