Local authorities in England are to be handed powers to change Sunday trading laws in tomorrow’s Budget, according to Treasury sources.

Under current Sunday shopping rules major supermarkets and departments are only allowed to open for six hours between 10am and 6pm while smaller high street stores have no limit.
