Half of local authorities are still making ‘disproportionate' cuts to third sector budgets – despite government guidelines urging them to engage with charities, according to a new report.

A study by Compact Voice claims 56% of local authorities have slashed their grant funding to charities since 2011, while 36% have increased the amount they give to the third sector.
