Councils left shouldering the social care burden

Cllr Judith Blake claims the Government has not gone far enough to address to some of the UK's most basic inequalities.

The Autumn Statement does not go nearly far enough to address some of the UK's basic inequalities.

Once again this Government has failed to take decisive action to address rapidly escalating demand for social care services. Without intervention it is local authorities who will be left shouldering the burden and our NHS will be pushed to the edge as it approaches its busiest time of the year.
