Local authorities should be given incentives to work with newly appointed police and crime commissioners (PCCs), a flagship Conservative council urged last night.

Under the 'Safer Deals' model outlined by Westminster City Council at a Conservative Party fringe event last night, areas would be given 'City Deals' type devolved powers to tackle crime in more locally responsive ways.
