Third of councils to merge children's services bosses

One-third of councils have merged or are planning to review the post of director of children’s services.

One-third of councils have merged or are planning to review the post of director of children's services, according to the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS).

The ADCS warned that the idea of a director of children's services in every local authority could not be ‘taken for granted', following a survey conducted by the organisation.
