Councils have a crucial role in harnessing the energy of young people for the benefit of their communities, analysis by the New Local Government Network (NLGN) has revealed.

Research undertaken by the think tank indicates young people are, contrary to their media portrayal, more socially conservative and moralistic than their parents' generation.
