Councils may be forced to pick up the tab for Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP) to ensure the delivery of a string of key projects, it has emerged.

Cities minister Greg Clark confirmed to The MJ this week that funding for some of the largest and riskiest projects being delivered through the Local Growth Fund may only be paid retrospectively.
