Around 150 local authorities are shoring up their contingency plans after homecare provider Allied Healthcare attempted to agree a rescue plan with its creditors.

Three of Allied's biggest customers – Essex and Suffolk CCs, and Lambeth LBC – have all confirmed to The MJ that they are working closely with Allied, but also looking at alternative arrangements.
