Councils to get public health cash

Councils poised to receive more than £2bn to help tackle public health problems, under plans to be announced by Andrew Lansley.

Councils are poised to receive more than £2bn to help tackle public health problems, under plans to be announced today by health secretary Andrew Lansley.

Mr Lansley is expected to launch the new Public Health Outcomes Framework in a speech at the Faculty of Public Health.
