Councils seeking greater 'social value' from deals

A new poll by The MJ and BDO shows more than three quarter of councils are in contact with suppliers over how to increase social value in contracts.

More than three-quarters of councils are engaged with suppliers over how to increase social value in their contracts, according to a new poll by The MJ and consultants BDO.

In a report published this week, entitled Social supply, 75% of local government officers said they were working with suppliers on how to increase social value through procurement.
