West Dunbartonshire Council has voted to withdraw its notice to leave the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) – shortly after four other councils set up a rival association.

In the days before Christmas, Aberdeen City, Glasgow City, South Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Councils revealed plans for a new Scottish Local Government Partnership.
