Councils set for government aid with social impact bonds

The Cabinet Office will set up a centre of excellence to help local authorities get to grips with social impact bonds, the minister for civil society has revealed.

Speaking at the launch of Essex CC's social impact bond for children's services on 23 November, Nick Hurd said the centre would build on the experience of local authorities in developing the new funding mechanism.
