Councils 'unsure £100m investment has paid off'

The two councils responsible for the redevelopment of a Kent town boosted by the Eurostar rail link do not know whether their £100m investment has provided value for money, auditors have reported.

Ashford BC and Kent CC have both invested heavily in regeneration programmes around Ashford, a major commuter town on the county's rail link between London and Paris.
