Councils urged to pilot Universal Credit

English councils have been urged to sign up to one of 12 local authority-led piot projects in preparation of Universal Credit.

English councils have been urged to sign up to one of 12 local authority-led pilot projects in preparation for the introduction of Universal Credit (UC) from October 2013.

The invitation is contained in a joint prospectus issued today by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the Local Government Association (LGA).
