County chief executive to step down

Hampshire CC’s chief executive, Andrew Smith, has announced he will stand down later this year.

Hampshire CC's chief executive, Andrew Smith, has announced he will stand down later this year.

Mr Smith has been chief executive at Hampshire CC since 2007 and at the same time he has been an advisor to the Local Government Association and central government on property, procurement, efficiency and capital expenditure.

The process of finding a successor is expected to begin shortly.
