Leisure centres, libraries and theatres in Durham could be transferred to a charitable trust to help safeguard council services.

Durham CC's cabinet met yesterday (25 January), after The MJ went to press, to discuss proposals which could see the creation of a not-for-profit charitable trust to run the authority's leisure facilities.
