Coventry to take legal action over asylum

A council has been forced to take legal action over the Government’s use of hotels for asylum seekers despite previously pledging to offer refugees sanctuary.

A council has been forced to take legal action over the Government's use of hotels for asylum seekers despite previously pledging to offer refugees sanctuary.

Coventry City Council, which has backed the city of sanctuary movement committed to building a culture of hospitality for refugees, resorted to seeking a High Court injunction because it believes it is carrying an unfair amount of the burden.
