Number of CPOs on the rise, report finds

The number of planning Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) issued by councils has risen by 61%, according to law firm Bond Dickinson.

The number of planning Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) issued by councils has risen by 61%, according to law firm Bond Dickinson.

New figures released by the business and obtained under the Freedom of Information Act show there were 58 applications for planning CPOs in 2014, compared to just 36 in 2013.
