Undercover filming exposing the criminal treatment of an 80-year-old woman with dementia raised fresh criticism of the CQC.

Undercover filming exposing the criminal treatment of an 80-year-old woman with dementia at a north London care home this week raised fresh criticism of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The images were broadcast on BBC's Panorama programme on 23 April, and featured footage of Maria Worroll in her room at the Ash Court care home. The film showed care worker, Jonathan Aquino, slapping Ms Worrall six times.
