Town hall bosses and social care chiefs have warned the new Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection framework for care homes does not put enough focus on working with councils.

Town hall bosses and social care chiefs have warned the new Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection framework for care homes does not put enough focus on working with councils.

‘From previous experience, it is only when the CQC and the local authority commissioners work together that service failures and improvements can be addressed effectively,' the joint response states.
