Creating a blueprint for change

Ryedale DC is implementing whole organisation change which will redesign every facet of how the council delivers its services. Leanne Mills explains the process and how the authority stands to save more than 15% of its budget in just 18 months

Ryedale DC, one of the largest geographic districts in Yorkshire, is to become the latest authority to completely rethink itself based around its residents' needs.

The council is in the final stages of a customer-centric redesign of its services which will see it change beyond recognition from the traditional council model.
