The housing charity Crisis has warned the number of people homeless will continue to climb as government data reveals figures are on the rise.

An academic report commissioned by the charity, entitled The Homelessness Monitor, and carried out by Heriot-Watt University and the University of York, said the continuing economic downtown and the Government's spending cuts will only make the situation worse.
