Bridging a two-year cash gap until the Government ‘hopefully' injects an extra £2bn into services will be challenging for councils, England's children's social care chief has warned.
Speaking after the Government published its implementation strategy for reform of children's social care, president of the Association of Directors of Children's Services, Steve Crocker, told The MJ the key concern was ‘bridging to 2025-26 when hopefully the £2bn is released on the back of the pathfinders'.
