Current care inspection regime branded 'flawed'

Three local government groups have warned the current inspection regime for the care of children and young people is ‘flawed and not conducive to improvement’.

Three local government groups have warned the current inspection regime for the care of children and young people is ‘flawed and not conducive to improvement'.

A paper jointly published by the Local Government Association, the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) and the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE) said there should be an alternative model ‘of accountability for children's services'.
