Areas with the greatest reductions in central Government funding between 2010 and 2019 are associated with lower quality climate action plans, according to a study.

The research by Lancaster University uncovered a correlation between the quality of local authorities' climate change plans as rated by environmental organisation Climate Emergency UK and higher Government funding cuts.
