A survey has indicated levels of community pride have soared across the UK over the past year, despite the tough economic climate.

Levels of community pride have soared across the UK over the past year, despite the tough economic climate and spending cuts, a survey has indicated.

Commissioned by services group, May Gurney, the poll reported people from top-placed Yorkshire and Humberside (72%) were far more passionate about their neighbourhoods than the last-placed denizens of the South East (54%).
