Care bosses have warned that social care services remain ‘on the edge', as public sector cutbacks continue to bite.

In her speech at the National Children and Adult Services conference in Eastbourne on 25 October, president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, Sarah Pickup, warned ‘the light at the end of the tunnel remains distant and flickering'.
