Database finds a new home

The Association of London Government is to take over the much-maligned Notify database which logs the number of homeless families the capital's councils are housing in temporary accommodation.

The database was set up by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to monitor all 33 London boroughs, but only 14 have provided information. A GLA spokesman reportedly said while it was ‘disappointing' some boroughs were not sharing information, the system was already ‘proving invaluable to London even without comprehensive participation'.
