The Department for Communities and Local Government has appointed a new head of housing.

The Department for Communities and Local Government has appointed a new head of housing. Peter Schofield has been chosen to replace Richard McCarthy as director general for neighbourhoods. Mr McCarthy left the department in November to become executive director of Capita Symonds, a property and building services subsidiary of outsourcing group Capita. Mr Schofield joins the CLG from the Treasury where he was director of enterprise and growth unit.
