DCLG needs better data on new burdens, says NAO

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) ‘needs to use its intelligence better’ to understand the burdens on councils’ finances, the National Audit Office (NAO) has claimed.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) ‘needs to use it's intelligence better' to understand the burdens on councils' finances, the National Audit Office (NAO) has claimed. 

Head of the NAO, Sir Amyas Morse said: ‘The Department for Communities and Local Government has taken steps since November 2014 to improve its understanding of new burdens on local authorities.
