Roles and responsibilities for the new ministerial line up at the Department for Communities and Local Government have been confirmed, more than a week after the Conservative Government's post-election reshuffle.
Under the revamp, Nuneaton MP Marcus Jones has been appointed minister for local government – a role which encompasses local government finance, adult social care and children's services, and welfare reform.
As a parliamentary under secretary of state (PUS), Mr Jones's new remit also includes community rights and community pubs, high streets and becoming supporting minister on the housing Bill.
