DCLG poised to switch headquarters

The DCLG will abandon its Eland House headquarters next year and relocate around 1,200 of its staff to the Home Office's Westminster base nearby, officials have now confirmed.

The DCLG will abandon its Eland House headquarters next year and relocate around 1,200 of its staff to the Home Office's Westminster base nearby, officials have now confirmed.

Co-locating with the Home Office in Marsham Street is forecast to deliver total annual property savings worth £24m to the civil estate and £8m cash savings to the DCLG – which currently spends £20m running the property.
