DCLG rejects ending right to challenge on planning

The DCLG has rejected reports that the Government is considering proposals to severely limit the rights of residents to mount legal challenges against controversial planning decisions.

Newspaper reports had suggested a number of changes could be made to change the planning appeals system and curtail the legal right for residents to ask for a judge to review planning decisions.
