DCLG seeking planning partners

Commercial partner sought to run online one-stop-shop for processing planning applications.

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is seeking a commercial partner to take over and develop the online one-stop-shop for processing planning applications.

Firms with innovative ideas for taking forward the service – which gets more than a million visits a month and allows all local authorities in England and Wales to receive planning applications – have been invited to come up with partnership proposals to further improve the online planning service.

More than 85,000 professionals, including council planners, architects, small firms, shop-fitters and advertising companies make use of the site which contains more than 2,650,000 pages of content.
