We are from different political parties, but have no hesitation in supporting what we believe to be a particularly sensible proposal within the recently launched Government consultation about the Local Audit Reform: A Strategy for Overhauling the Local Audit System in England.

In its consultation, the Government states that it is considering decoupling the accounts of the Local Government Pension Funds from those of the local authorities that administer them.
