Delays to the allocations of the UK Shared prosperity (UKSPF) fund will hamper councils’ investment plans for the coming year, local government leaders have claimed.

Delays to the allocations of the UK Shared prosperity (UKSPF) fund will hamper councils' investment plans for the coming year, local government leaders have claimed.

The fund, designed to replace EU structural funds, has yet to materialise.Now councils have gone into the pre-election period, any announcement will be delayed until after the May elections – even for authorities that are not heading to the polls.
