Delight and dismay at new cash for school building repairs

Council leaders have responded with delight and dismay to Michael Gove's plans to rebuild and refurbish 261 schools.

Council leaders have responded with delight and dismay to Education Secretary Michael Gove's plans to rebuild and refurbish 261 schools.

Mr Gove has acknowledged that a total of 587 schools applied for funding from the five year Priority School Building Programme (PSBP) which has a budget of some £2 billion.
