Rising cases of dementia present a serious challenge for councils commissioning services, according to research commissioned by the NHS.

A report, published by the National End of Life Care Intelligence Network (NEoLCIN), warned that commissioners and providers across adult health and social care would be faced with meeting the needs of more people dying with Alzheimer's, dementia and senility as the population ages.
