The non-executive directors of what was the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have all been sacked by the new Government, sweeping out the old regime's appointments.

In addition to changing the name of the department – back to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government – ministers have ditched the expert advisers appointed by the previous Government, just weeks after some were re-appointed.
